Handmade Scottish Soap with Organic Cocoa Butter
We just love this soap... the fresh spring blend of fennel and juniper unapologetically fills the room. This is a bold pick-me-up (or blow me down!) shower bar, made with Blackthorn Sea Salt. Blackthorn sustainably produce sea salt flakes naturally crafted on the West Coast of Scotland by wind, sea and thorns in a custom-built thorn tower in Saltpans, Ayrshire.
Made with organic cocoa butter to help promote soft skin, this bar has been handmade using a traditional cold-process technique, which is not only the most sustainable soap-making method, it also ensures you receive the full benefit of nutrients in the bar. Our process, unlike conventional soap, includes retaining all the (vegan) glycerin produced, again, promoting naturally glowing soft skin. (The glycerin in conventional soaps is most often extracted and sold to skin care manufacturers as a main ingredient in beauty products.)
The Corryvreckan Fennel & Sea Salt Bar, with its fresh, breezy aroma and swirling aqua hues, is named after the Gulf of Corryvreckan ("cauldron of the speckled seas"). This strait is home to Scotland's maelstrom, one of the largest permanent whirlpools on Earth (and one of the most dangerous stretches of water around the British Isles). The Corryvreckan Strait can be found on the West Coast of Scotland between the islands of Jura and Scarba.
